Description

PowerTRONIC is the most advanced full feature Piggyback ECU for motorcycles currently available worldwide. Designed to be universally adaptable, the PowerTRONIC ECU plugs in within minutes delivering improved performance through race-engineered, user adjustable fuel and ignition mapping.

Features

Quicker Throttle Response

Make the most of your daily commute with instantly better throttle response. Our maps offer better transient response even in the closed-loop/part-throttle regions, significantly reducing part-throttle sluggishness making low speed riding conditions – be it traffic or twisty mountain passes more enjoyable.

Predictable Refinement

Power delivery is strong, smooth and no longer dramatic. Added power should never come at the cost of refinement and PowerTRONIC shines in this area minimizing engine vibrations to a great extent. Our in-built ignition control algorithms allow levels of precision that have never been seen before on a piggyback system striking the perfect balance between response and refinement.

It really is all about Power

With PowerTRONIC on this bike, we were interested to explore the limits of the engine and beyond. While we improved throttle response, refinement and power delivery in the process; the goal has always been performance. With dyno-tested gains of 3-5Bhp on a stock motorcycle, there is simply no other accessory in the world that has proven its performance on the road, track and dyno. To put it in other words, if you happened to meet a performance engineer at the factory, this is how his bike would feel.

If you have upgraded your stock exhaust and air filter, this is the best bet for getting optimal performance from your 650 Twins. it does make noticeable difference and improved throttle response.

After upgrading my stock exhaust to red rooster stellar, i had an initial drop in low, mid range.it was sounding great but there was a noticeable difference in the low and mid range, after tuning up with powertronics it got better and the engine runs much cooler.I still haven’t played around with the R-tune but running on Map 1 is pretty good.

Thanks Deepak, R-Tune is an easy interface you can watch our videos to understand the software

is this useful for v twin engine ?

    • admin

The Interceptor 650 is a parallel twin. However, the PowerTRONIC is compatible with most EFI bikes regardless of the engine configuration.

  3. Steve Denning (verified owner)

A bit fiddly to fit as expected, and removing the tank OK after working out how the fuel quick-release worked. Throttle sensor setting easy with R-Tune. Just worked when finished – about 1 1/2 hrs. With the SS Moto 2 into 1 exhaust, on map 1, the bike pulls as well in 6th as it used to in 5th and the throttle response is much improved. Runs cooler as well. Not altered the supplied maps yet. Biggest problem is where to put the toolkit. (Solved with the Enfield single seat and cowl – toolkit in the cowl, Powertronic stock coupler tucked in on top of the Bosch ECU), In a word – Transformed!
